Police say they spotted a stolen car and then found a homemade conducted energy weapon and pepper spray
A Guelph woman faces charges after weapons were found inside a stolen vehicle early Saturday.
At 1:30 a.m. Saturday, officers queried a vehicle parked and running on Woolwich Street near Eramosa Road and learned it had been reported stolen. Officers found a female sitting in the driver’s seat and placed her under arrest. A search incident to arrest revealed pepper spray and a homemade conducted energy weapon.
A male who had been observed exiting the passenger seat was located a short distance away and was also arrested.
A 28-year-old Guelph woman and 36-year-old Guelph man are charged with possessing stolen property over $5,000. The woman is also charged with two counts of possessing a prohibited weapon and breaching probation.
